Introduction:
The solar energy market is currently very lively, and very, very confusing. 'Alternative
energy', 'climate change', 'save the planet' and 'end of oil' are all common expressions
when the subject of solar power is being discussed. Unfortunately, large scale solar
energy production is still in its infancy outside of the western world. Some would even say
the technology is twenty years away from rivaling other energy production methods.
However, there are still genuine needs in industry and remote locations for solar energy, especially when mains power is not available. And this is an arena in which Supply Dynamics LLC is leading the way.

A solar energy systems works by efficiently converting high energy particles provided by the sun into electrons which are then stored in batteries as electrical current in sufficient quantity to power your equipment when needed. The stored energy can be used as a direct current source or inverted into an alternating current. Systems can be designed at the voltage, daily load and reserve power demands you require. The defining factor for all energy needs is Watts Hours per day. As you can imagine it's a bit more complicated than simply working out Watt Hours per day but fundamentally it's where everything starts.
Before jumping in feet first please consider the following;
1) If you have mains power close by, use it, it's much cheaper.
2) It is also significantly cheaper to reduce your current electrical consumption as much as possible before even thinking of investing in renewable energy; low energy appliances, extra insultation, passive cooling, energy efficiency, etc..
3) Renewable energy is a long term investment proposition. If you can't amortize over at least seven years the numbers simply won't add up in your mindset.
4) Small scale solar, less than 10kW is much more expensive than large scale Mega Watt, government incentivised and media reported projects.
